Parts & tools

Included with your wall rail

  • Wooden rail and mounting brackets
  • Planter receivers for your configuration
  • Mounting screws and wall anchors
  • Two keyhole markers
  • One screw-depth gauge

Have these ready

  • Drill and bit matched to your anchors
  • Screwdriver matched to your screws

Check the wall first. Use fixings suitable for your wall material and the loaded setup. Check for concealed wiring and pipes before drilling. If the supplied anchors are unsuitable for your wall, ask a qualified installer to select the correct fixings.

Install your vertical rail

  1. Position the planter attachments

Slide the dovetail receivers onto the wooden rail before fitting the end brackets. Arrange them roughly where you want the planters.

  2. Fit the brackets and markers

Fit the top and bottom brackets to the rail ends. Place a keyhole marker into each bracket’s keyhole slot.

  3. Mark the wall

Hold the assembly in position, check it with a level, and press the markers against the wall. Set the rail down and remove the markers.

  4. Prepare the fixing holes

Drill at the marks using the bit size specified for your supplied anchors. Fit the anchors according to their instructions.

  5. Set the screw depth

Drive in the mounting screws, leaving the heads exposed. Use the included depth gauge to set the gap between each screw head and the wall.

  6. Hang the rail

Lower the brackets’ keyhole slots onto the screw heads. If the brackets wobble or will not seat, lift off the rail and adjust the screw depth.

  7. Attach the planters

Check that every bracket is seated and the rail is secure before adding weight. Slide each planter fully onto its matching receiver.

Installing a horizontal rail?

Start by marking the midpoint of both wooden rails and positioning the center bracket at those marks. Add the receivers on either side, then fit the end brackets. Use a keyhole marker at each mounting point, marking additional positions in turn with the included markers.

Check that the assembly is level horizontally, then follow steps 4 to 7 above for every bracket. Seat the center and end brackets before adding planters.

Adjustments & accessories

Remove the planter before repositioning its receiver. Where your receiver uses a set screw, loosen it before moving the receiver and secure it again before replacing the planter.
